The short version
- Guest mode stays on your phone. Until you create an account, your workouts, schedule and settings are stored only on your device.
- Accounts are backed up. If you create an account, we store that data in our cloud database (Google Firebase, United States) so you can restore it and use it on other devices.
- Health details only shape your exercise list. If you flag injury areas or turn on Pregnancy mode, we use that only to leave out exercises that may not suit you. We never sell it or use it for ads.
- Leaderboards are private and optional. If you join a board, its other members see your username, avatar, workout counts, streak, workout focus and whether you subscribe.
- We use a few service providers. They handle sign-in, cloud storage, analytics, crash reports and subscriptions for us, under contract.
- No selling, no ads. We don't sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or collect your device's advertising ID.
- You can delete your account. In the app, go to Settings → Account → "I want to delete my account."
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
OneMinFit is provided by HAPPYDIC LLC, a California limited liability company ("HAPPYDIC," "we," "us" or "our").
This Privacy Policy applies to the OneMinFit app for iOS and Android, our websites (including the pages that host this policy and our leaderboard invite links), and your communications with our support team (together, the "Service"). If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, HAPPYDIC LLC is the controller of your personal data.
This policy doesn't cover third-party services you reach from the app, such as Apple, Google, or the journal websites our research cards link to. Their own privacy policies apply. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Use.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information your device sends automatically when you use the app, and a small amount from Apple, Google and the app stores.
Information you provide
- Account information. If you create an account with email, we collect your email address. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication, and we never see it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name, email address and account identifier they share with us. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive a relay address instead of your real one.
- Workout setup and preferences. Your work window, active days, reminder frequency and times, difficulty level, focus areas, exercise-type preferences, work/rest split, position and floor-work limits, your chosen character, your avatar settings, and your sound and vibration choices.
- Health-related information. The injury areas you flag (for example, knees or lower back), whether Pregnancy mode is on and, if you provide it, your week of pregnancy. Section 5 explains how we handle this.
- Workout activity. For each session: the exercise, when it started, seconds of work and rest, reps if you choose to enter them, and whether you completed, skipped or stopped it. We use this for your stats, streaks and levels.
- Leaderboard information. If you create or join a board: your username, your avatar, the names of boards you create, invite codes, and which boards you belong to.
- Messages to us. Anything you send when you contact support or give feedback, including your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information: device model, operating system and version, app version, language and time zone.
- Identifiers: a Firebase user ID (created when you first open the app, even as a guest), Firebase installation and app-instance IDs, and a push notification token.
- Usage information: screens viewed, features used, answers you give during setup, subscription screens viewed, experiments you're part of, and similar events, with timestamps.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs and performance data.
- Approximate location: our analytics providers may estimate your country or city from your IP address. We don't collect your precise location.
Information from third parties
- Apple and Google, when you sign in with them (see above).
- The App Store and Google Play, through RevenueCat: your subscription status, the plan you bought, whether you're in a free trial, and purchase, renewal and cancellation dates. Apple or Google processes your payment. We never receive your full card details.
What we don't collect
We don't access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location. We don't read data from Apple Health or Health Connect, and we don't collect your device's advertising identifier. If we add a feature that needs a new permission, such as calendar access, we'll ask you first and update this policy.
3. Guest mode and accounts
You can use OneMinFit without creating an account.
- As a guest, your preferences, schedule, health-related selections and workout activity are stored only on your device. We still create an anonymous Firebase user ID so the app works, and we still collect the usage and diagnostic information described in Section 2.
- If you create or link an account, we upload the data already on your device to your account and keep it in sync across your devices.
- If you uninstall the app as a guest, your on-device data is erased and we can't recover it.
Workout reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications, so we don't need a server to send them.
4. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service. Build your daily exercise plan (this happens on your device), schedule reminders, run sessions, log activity, and calculate your stats, streaks and levels.
- Sync and back up your data across your devices when you have an account.
- Run leaderboards, including invites, rankings and checks against implausible scores.
- Manage subscriptions. Verify purchases and free trials and unlock premium features.
- Understand and improve OneMinFit. Measure which features people use, fix crashes and bugs, and test changes (for example, two versions of a setup screen) using Firebase Remote Config and A/B Testing.
- Communicate with you. Answer support requests, send notices about your account or this policy, and, if you allow notifications, send workout reminders and other notifications about the Service.
- Keep the Service safe. Prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and screen usernames against a list of prohibited words.
- Meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules and lawful requests.
We don't use your information to show you ads. The app personalizes your exercise plan automatically, on your device, based on your settings. We don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
We collect health-related information only when you choose to give it, and we use it only to choose which exercises to show you. This section is our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada, Connecticut and other states.
What we collect.
- The body areas you flag for injury or pain: neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, lower back, hip, knees or ankles.
- Whether Pregnancy mode is on and, if you provide it, your week of pregnancy.
- Your workout activity (exercises, duration and reps), which some laws may treat as health data.
- Whether you've acknowledged our safety advisory. This is stored on your device only.
Where it comes from. Directly from you, during setup or in Settings.
Why we use it. To leave out exercises that load the areas you flagged or aren't suitable during pregnancy, to calculate your stats, and to store and sync your settings. OneMinFit doesn't diagnose, assess or treat any injury or medical condition.
Who receives it.
- Google Firebase stores it as part of your account data if you have an account.
- Our analytics providers, Google Analytics for Firebase and Mixpanel, receive workout events (for example, that you completed a session) on our behalf. They never receive your injury areas, Pregnancy mode or pregnancy week.
- If you join a leaderboard, its members see your workout counts and streak, but never your injury areas or Pregnancy mode.
We don't sell consumer health data. We don't share it with third parties for their own purposes, including advertising, and we don't geofence health care locations.
Your choices and rights. You can change or clear your injury areas and turn Pregnancy mode off at any time in Settings → Safety. Depending on where you live, you also have the right to confirm whether we hold your consumer health data, access it, get a list of the third parties we've shared it with, withdraw consent, and have it deleted. Email help@oneminfit.com with the subject "Health data request." If we deny your request, you can appeal as described in Section 10.
6. How we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers below, with other users when you use leaderboards, and in the limited cases listed after the table.
Service providers. These companies process information on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it.
| Provider | What they do for us | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Google LLC) | Sign-in, cloud database and backup (Cloud Firestore, United States), hosting of exercise media and invite links, push notifications, analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), remote configuration and A/B testing | Account information, synced app data, identifiers, device information, usage information |
| Mixpanel, Inc. | Product analytics | Firebase user ID, usage information, device information, approximate location |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Crash and error reporting | Crash logs, diagnostics, device and app information |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management | App user ID, subscription and purchase status |
| Apple and Google | Sign-in, app distribution, payments and push delivery | Governed by your agreements with them |
Other cases.
- Other users. When you join a leaderboard, its members see the information described in Section 7. When you share an invite link, the people you send it to can see the board's name.
- Legal and safety. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to comply with the law or a valid legal request, enforce our Terms of Use, or protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or HAPPYDIC LLC.
- Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
- De-identified or aggregated information that can't reasonably be linked to you.
No sale, no targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information. We don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms, and we haven't done either in the past 12 months.
7. Leaderboards
Leaderboards are optional, private and invite-only. Only a board's members can see it.
- What members see. Before you join a board, you choose a username. Members of every board you join can see your username, avatar, session and set counts, current streak, workout focus (for example, upper body), and whether you're a premium subscriber.
- Invites. Anyone with a board's invite link can see its name and color and join, up to 50 members. The board's owner can remove members, rename the board, change the invite link or delete the board.
- Leaving. When you leave a board or delete your account, you're removed from the board. Any score entries left behind expire automatically within about 80 days.
- Usernames. Each username is unique. Don't use your real name or other personal details in it. After you change or release a username, someone else can claim it.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete it or de-identify it.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Data stored on your device | Until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app |
| Account data (settings, schedule, health-related selections, workout activity, leaderboard profile) | While your account exists. Deleted when you delete your account |
| Leaderboard score entries | Deleted automatically within about 80 days |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months |
| Other analytics and diagnostic data | Crash reports: up to 90 days. Product analytics: only as long as needed to analyze usage, then deleted or aggregated |
| Subscription and purchase records | As long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes |
| Support messages | As long as needed to help you and keep reasonable records |
After deletion, copies may remain for a short time in our providers' logs or systems before they're overwritten. We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to resolve disputes.
9. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your OneMinFit account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.
In the app (account holders).
- Open Settings → Account.
- Tap "I want to delete my account" and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first.
This permanently deletes your account, your cloud backup (settings, schedule, health-related selections and workout activity), your leaderboard profile and username, any boards you own, and the OneMinFit data on your device. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke OneMinFit's access to your Apple ID.
In the app (guests). Open Settings → Account → "Delete all my data" to erase everything stored on your device.
By email. If you can't use the app, email help@oneminfit.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account." We'll confirm your identity and delete your account within 30 days.
What stays. Leaderboard score entries expire within about 80 days. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep purchase records under their own policies, and we keep what the law requires us to. Usage and diagnostic data held by our analytics and crash-reporting providers is deleted on the schedule in Section 8, or sooner if you email us.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to stop future charges.
10. Your privacy rights in the United States
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas and Virginia), you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and get a portable copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We don't do any of these.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use it only to provide the features you ask for, so this right doesn't change anything for OneMinFit.
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
How to make a request. You can edit or delete most of your data directly in the app. For anything else, email help@oneminfit.com with the subject "Privacy request." We'll verify your identity, usually by asking you to write from the email address on your account, and respond within the time the law requires (usually 45 days). An authorized agent can make a request for you with your signed permission.
Appeals. If we deny your request, reply to our decision with the subject "Appeal." We'll respond within the time your state's law requires. If you're still unhappy, you can contact your state attorney general.
California notice at collection
In the past 12 months, we've collected the following categories of personal information. We don't sell or share any of them, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Section 8 explains how long we keep each type.
| Category | Examples | Sources | Purposes | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email address, Firebase user and installation IDs, push token, username | You, your device, Apple, Google | Provide the Service, sync, analytics, security | Google Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry, RevenueCat |
| Customer records | Name and email address | You, Apple, Google | Account and support | Google Firebase |
| Commercial information | Subscription plan, trial status, purchase dates | App stores via RevenueCat | Manage subscriptions | RevenueCat, Google Firebase |
| Internet or electronic activity | App usage events, crash logs | Your device | Analytics, diagnostics, experiments | Google Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry |
| Geolocation | Approximate location estimated from your IP address | Your device | Analytics | Google Firebase, Mixpanel |
| Sensitive: health | Injury areas, Pregnancy mode, workout activity | You | Filter exercises, stats | Google Firebase, Mixpanel (workout activity only) |
| Sensitive: account login | Email address and password | You | Sign-in | Google Firebase |
We don't disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing, so California's "Shine the Light" law doesn't apply.
11. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, data protection law (including the GDPR and UK GDPR) gives you the rights below. HAPPYDIC LLC is the controller of your personal data.
Legal bases. We rely on these legal bases:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the app, your account, sync, leaderboards you join and subscriptions | Performance of our contract with you |
| Injury areas and Pregnancy mode | Your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings |
| Analytics, crash reporting, experiments, security and fraud prevention | Our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving OneMinFit, or your consent where the law requires it |
| Push notifications | Your consent, given through your device's permission prompt |
| Tax, accounting and legal requests | Compliance with our legal obligations |
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to how we process it, including processing based on legitimate interests; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To use these rights, email help@oneminfit.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
International transfers. We're based in the United States, and your data is stored there. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, where our provider is certified) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and their UK and Swiss equivalents.
12. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and database rules that let each account read and write only its own private data (members of a leaderboard can read that board's entries). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
13. Children
OneMinFit isn't meant for anyone under 16, and you must be at least 16 to use it. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us personal information, email help@oneminfit.com and we'll delete it.
14. Third-party links and services
The app links to outside websites, such as the journals and publishers behind our research cards, and to the App Store and Google Play. We don't control those sites, and their privacy policies apply when you visit them.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
